books, blabberings, and a life semi-common
Traveling plus uploading photos on Facebook means my brain is mush and I can’t think much on what to write, so I’ll answer one of the questions given this past week (month?):
The funny thing about this answer is that, for a really long time, I refused to watch the movies. A cousin of mine even said I should be disowned by the family because I hadn’t seen it yet.
The truth of the matter is…
I saw the entire trilogy when The Return of the King was already in theaters.
I actually had to force myself to sit on the couch and watch the first movie. Two scenes in and I was hooked. We (some fam members and myself) watched the first two movies (the extended edition) one after another… And then I wanted to see a midnight showing (they still had them) of TRotK but my sister said no but promised me she’d take me the next night.
Ever since then, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen the movies in the trilogy. I’ll have days where I just plant myself in front of a TV and do a marathon. Whenever it comes on TV and I notice it, I have to watch. It’s almost like a compulsion of sorts! It even annoys me on TV because it’s not the extended editions but I’ll still watch it.
So yes. The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I love them.
