An Ordinary World

books, blabberings, and a life semi-common

Weekly Photo Challenge: Refuge

Today seems like a fantastic day for this particular photo challenge. It’s not a fantastic photograph or anything (I really need to find the USB cable for my camera) but it really captures how I feel after today.

Basically… Today sucked. I had such high hopes, especially with the weather going up to 66 – 66! – this afternoon. I mean… How could anything go wrong? Right?

Let’s just say that there were annoyances, blisters, and I almost punched a lady on the streets of New York City for being a complete bitch. I seriously thought she was crazy. I’m not kidding. I even said to her, “Seriously? You have problems. Get yourself checked out.” Luckily, I walked away before I could hit her then get taken in for disturbance of the street or something. I don’t even know.

It is now 8:24 pm. I just finished dinner with my sister and her husband and I just want to take refuge in my blankets. I just want to curl up, read a book, and be safe from the world for at least one night.

So that’s what I’m going to do.
